North Texas
Cinderella Project

ABOUT US
The Cinderella Project has a simple mission: gather stylish formal women's wear and then make it available for North Texas teenagers who can't afford the price tag on a new dress. The Department of Housing and Residence Life at UNT is collecting and sorting more than 600 dresses for the project's 14th year.
OUR VISION
We truly want every young woman that lives in North Texas, regardless of financial situation. Formals are a rite of passage and everyone should have one.
WHAT WE DO
We do two things to make Cinderella Project work. First is we collect gently used dresses from the North Texas Community. Secondly, we hold an event that gives those dresses away.
OUR COMMUNITY
We do this so that the young ladies in our community can have no restrictions on who they are and we hope that this simply event has a lasting impact on their lives.
FASHION REFLECTS IDENTITY
Too many young women finding the perfect dress for their formal or prom can be very difficult. The moment they see that perfect dress from across the room and then when they try it on and it fits perfectly can change the demeanor and outlook on their high school experience.
Please help us make those experiences.
